Just start again by creating a new account. Go to iChat, Preferences. Then press the + button.

I’m not sure how that works outside the U.S. Have you Googled for “AIM UK Accounts”? I’m sure there is a common solution, but I can’t tell you what it is since I’m in the U.S.

Try launching it from your Applications folder. Have you ever run it before? If you still can’t get it to work, have a Mac expert take a look.

I tried making an AIM account but with my current email address so I picked the second option on the website, but as I’m filling in the information you have to put your zip/ postal code, and it says 5-6 characters. I live in the UK and have 7 characters in my postal code. It wont let me proceed without filling this information in. Please help

Okay i made a huge mistake. When the account window popped up i didn’t choose AIM as my account type. How do i get to that window? the one at 1:06

i signed up following those exact steps, but when i click log in, another window pops up saying i have entered the wrong ID or password. i have double and triple checked this, but it still persists. any ideas?
